Ironically, I can't use this buckle (for wide kilt belts only) on my Sport Kilt because I wear it so low on my hips. I purchased this to match the shamrock kilt pin and they look great together for dressing up a more traditionally cut (higher waist) kilt. The clover leaf is actually bolted through the buckle.

I love the buckle! I attended the University of Notre Dame, so I love the shamrock. It's bold.
