In 2008 I began competing in Strongman then shortly after in Highland Games.  I have recently added Powerlifting and Naha to my other sports that I am competing in.  Being a strength athlete has always been what I have trained for.  The Throws of the Highland Games came naturally for me after my years throwing in college.  I am enjoying the sport and I am continuing to push to throw further and perhaps compete as a pro in the future.

In 2009 I competed in the 1st ever NAHA (north American highlander) national championships.  I was able to win 6 of 6 events and become the first HW national champion.

I was able to win the second annual Battle on the Bayou strongman event put on by Louisiana Strength Foundation and sanctioned by the NAS (North American Strongman).

I was part of the south team during the 2009 highland games north south challenge last year in Mobile I finished fourth helping the south team to another victory.

In 2010 I competed in my first Powerlifting meet APF and posted a 2040 qualifying as an elite total for the 275 wt class.  This also qualified me to compete at nationals June 5th in Chicago.

I competed in the Houston Highland games and was able to take 1st place and move into the number 4 spot on the NASGA amateur ranks.
